Von BERNINA Schweiz wurde Judith Mundwiler angefragt, ob sie fünfzehn Werke für eine Ausstellung in Korea und anschliessend in Taiwan zusammenstellen könnte. Sehr gerne nahm sie diese Einladung an und nun sind ein gutes Dutzend Textile Bilder aus den Jahren 1999 bis 2010, vorwiegend genäht aus Koreanischer Seide, unterwegs nach Asien! Die Ausstellung in Korea war laut der Vertreterin von BERNINA gut besucht. Hier ein Ausschnitt aus ihrem Feedback:
‹… We take pride also in this festival to have a chance to show great quilts to Korean quilters according to the supporting you and Judith Mundwiler.
I visited often the booth for checking visitors response and also the condition of the quilts.
Not only CQA hosts but also most visitors who saw her quilts expressed very big surprise about the materials which she used on her quilts.
The most interesting point and big response was that she used Korea Organza in her most quilts and incarnate very modern and beutiful quilts using very intimate materials to us as an european quilter.
Also, her idea of recycling the tea bag and very sensual and modern designs were enough to give deep impression to Korean quilters.
Most of all, using intimate materials are the most interesting point to us. …›
